CORDONED off . . . police closed Shaw Road shortly after the incident
A CYCLIST has died in an accident with a skip wagon in Royton.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the 55-year-old man was involved in a collision at the junction of Shaw Road and Rochdale Road on Friday. He was taken to Salford Royal Hospital with head injuries.
Police cordoned off Shaw Road for several hours while they investigated, causing major delays. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to get in touch - on 0161-856 4741, 101, or via Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111.
