Book celebrates life of tragic Oldham PC

A book has been published celebrating the life of tragic Diggle PC Nicola Hughes.
Written by her father Bryn, “An Extraordinary Sacrifice”, charts 23-year-old Nicola’s life from the joy of her birth to the terrible circumstances of her shooting in 2012 by police killer Dale Cregan, and its aftermath.
Proceed’s from the £12.99 book will go entriely to the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund, which has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds since her death to help young people whose lives have been thrown in turmoil by violent death.
Former prison officer Mr Hughes says he constantly relives the memories of the day he lost Nicola.
But the book is also an inspirational account of how the grieving father decided to pay tribute to his daughter
