LACE up your trainers and warm up your muscles as Oldham's second parkrun event launches in Chadderton Hall Park this Saturday (23).
The free 5K run, which involves three laps of the park, is open to all, regardless of ability and starts at 9am.
Participants can register with parkrun and receive personalised timing records and see how they did compared to other runners on the day.
It follows the success of Oldham's original parkrun Alexandra Park, which regularly attracts dozens of runners every Saturday.
Those new to parkrun should register before their first run in order to get a barcode which will be used to record times.
Parkrun, which started in 2004, is an international group of over two million registered runners and volunteers who enjoy free parkland runs at the weekend.
