A PRE-school has thanked the Thornham community for digging deep to help to spruce up its classroom.
Red Robin Pre-School, which is based in the grounds of Gravelhole Methodist Church, had only been redecorated once in the past 20 years due to a lack of funds.
Manager Emma Browitt and deputy Janine Lightfoot decided to take matters into their own hands and modernise the space themselves.
The pair organised an Easter raffle at the nursery that raised £114. They also contacted local businesses who donated DIY supplies including rollers, paint and paintbrushes, as well as cash.
The pre-school was revamped over a two weeks a Easter, with parents helping to paint the room.
Emma said: “We are so grateful for all the donations. It has been a real community effort.
“The children really love their bright, modern environment.
“We’re now planning to revamp our garden.” Anyone wishing to donate can call 0161 652 9326.
