DID you leave the Radclyffe School in Chadderton in May, 1982?
If so, get your name down for the eagerly-awaited reunion disco co-organised by Chronicle sport and music writer Simon Smedley.
Simon was one of those former pupils at the Broadway building and latterly the site in Hunt Lane in the year of classes that spelt ‘LEDBURY’.
Cracking
A reunion get-together has been booked to take place the upstairs function room at the Hunt Lane Tavern pub for Saturday, June 4, and popular local DJ Dave Jones has been booked to spin a night of cracking 80s tunes.
Supper will also be available, with attendees being asked to contribute £5 towards the buffet and DJ.
Simon said: “Myself, Lisa Dickens and Sharon Kershaw felt the time was right for a special reunion.
“It will be lovely to catch up with old friends, some we may not have seen since the day we all left Radclyffe.
“So far the response has been great on the Facebook page. We’re hoping to see upwards of 50 former school friends turn out.
“People are coming from up and down the country.
“It’s going to be a brilliant night.”
