SINGERS took the first step towards stardom when they tried out for the new series of reality TV show The Voice.
Auditions were held at University Campus Oldham, Cromwell Street, to find contestants for the 2017 show - which is switching to ITV after five series on the BBC.
If they make it through, the hopefuls will be aiming to hear the words "I want you" from celebrity judges - including the reported return to the show from Sir Tom Jones.
