THE winning New Economy group with their dining room display at Emmaus Mossley
EMMAUS Mossley provided the perfect backdrop for some down time for a team of Manchester researchers.
The homeless charity hosted the annual away day of New Economy, a Greater Manchester-based policy, strategy and research organisation.
The group had a tour of the Emmaus community based in Longlands Mill, off Queen Street, and took part in a host of activities including a competition to create the best shop display with a limited budget.
Chloe Nelson, senior analyst at New Economy, said: "Spending the day at Emmaus Mossley was a brilliant way for our research team to get to know each other better.
"It was great to meet with companions and hear their stories, it really helped to bring to life what Emmaus Mossley does and the impact that it has. We'll definitely be coming back."
Emmaus Mossley supports 24 formerly homeless people by providing them with a home and work in a community setting. The charity runs a social enterprise in Mossley, selling donated and up-cycled furniture, household goods and vintage wares.
