Car lands on roof after smash

EMERGENCY services were called to a road traffic incident where a car landed on its roof in Moorside on Saturday night.

Firefighters, police and paramedics attended the incident on Whitegates Lane shortly after 10.30pm.

All four female passengers in the car had managed to escape the crashed car, a blue Citroen C1, before emergency crews arrived and they were treated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident and police are currently investigating.
