Woman injured in Broadway crash

A WOMAN was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary with a suspected broken pelvis after a collision yesterday.
The incident occurred at 11am on Broadway, Chadderton, near the junction of Holden Fold Lane and involved two vehicles, a Fiat Punto and a Ford Transit van.
Congestion
A large section of Broadway was closed causing hours of congestion for drivers. The woman, who was in the Fiat, had to be cut out of her car by fire crew.
The road remained closed for several hours as a crash scene team investigated until 5.25pm when all road closures were lifted.
