DRESSED in their finest frocks and highest heels, Oldham's women joined in the excitement of Royal Ascot with their own fundraising events.
Women turned up the style stakes and donned their finery to celebrate the famous race meeting's Ladies Day and raise cash for a range of different charities at three events across the town.
At Crompton and Royton Golf Club, 120 women enjoyed a lunch, digital photobooth and DJ, alongside watching the races on the big screen
Organiser Debbie Howarth said: "It's a lovely day and the ladies look forward to it every year.
"They've dressed in their finest and they've been coming up with lots of different ways to raise money for local good causes."
She added that the beneficiaries helped by the event, which is now in its ninth year, will include Alzheimer's Society, Team Ellis and local carers.
Meanwhile, glamorous women tipped their hats to Dr Kershaw's Hospice as they joined in the celebrations of Royal Ascot during a ladies day at the White Hart in Lydgate.
Saddleworth Parish Council chairwoman Pam Byrne also got into the fundraising spirit, with a Ladies Day-themed lunch at the Old Bell Inn in Delph in aid of Saddleworth Parish Council Chairman's Charity appeal.
