United starlet in Mahdlo team talk

Angel Gomes, from Manchester United Academy visits Mahdlo members for a soccer training session and to talk about his experiences with Man U.

FOOTBALL fans at Mahdlo were delighted when Manchester United Academy star Angel Gomes dropped in for a kick-about.

The 15-year-old, who also plays for England Under-16s, spent time talking about being scouted, his training regime and education ­- as well as showing off his silky skills.

The event was part of Mahdlo's "Get Active Summer of Excellence", which which will see more sporting stars coming to the youth zone to inspire the youngsters.

Each of the footballers at the Egerton Street centre went home with a signed ball.

Angel said: "Mahdlo is a fantastic place where everyone just fits in and there's loads to do. Everywhere should have a place like this."
