A MOSSLEY-based GP surgery has been praised for providing high-quality care to patients following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Pennine Medical, Manchester Road, was rated "good" overall, however inspectors noted elements of "outstanding" service and gave the surgery the top grade for responsiveness.
The report, prepared following the inspection in May, praised staff for fulfilling their responsibilities, assessing patients needs and delivering care through best practice guidelines.
Inspectors said: "Patients said they were treated with compassion, dignity and respect and they were involved in their care and decisions about their treatment."
The surgery, which has 11,000 patients, was praised as "outstanding" for their employment of a clinical pharmacist who could provide medication reviews for patients and access a minor ailments scheme for appointments about hayfever, allergies, coughs and emergency contraception.
