You shall go the ball, thanks to kind mum

A MOORSIDE woman has turned fairy godmother and waved her magic wand to ensure Oldham teens can go to the ball.
Sarah Ogden has set up "Cinderella's" offering prom dresses and accessories free of charge to those who may otherwise miss out on going to their end-of-high-school bash.
All she asks in return for her charitable tiara to toe service is that the items are returned in their original condition.
The mum of two has amassed a stunning collection of prom dresses, ball gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tiaras, bags and shoes.
"I put an appeal out to friends on Facebook and the response was just amazing," said Sarah.
"People have given me some fantastic dresses costing hundreds of pounds which they've worn once but won't wear again so they've donated them to me."The cost of buying dresses these days can be up to £600 and I think it puts a lot of girls off going to their proms. There's a lot of peer pressure but it shouldn't be that way.
"I don't think they should miss out because of that so I decided to set up "Cinderella's" so they can go to the ball.
"We just expect people to return them to us in the condition they borrowed them in." Sarah is touring schools in the borough to make students aware of "Cinderella's".
She is also spreading the word through her day job as a mobile dog groomer. "I've got two sons so it's fantastic for me to have all this bling in the house," added Sarah, who is now attracting requests from far and wide.
"We'll be doing this every year now."
