BUSINESSES and properties in a Saddleworth village faced disruption overnight after an electricity power failure.
Dinnerstone, a popular eatery in The Square off High Street, had to close after informing guests of the problems.
Owner Charles Brierley said: "We had to close after the business has been advised that the power will not be back on for at least another 10 hours."
A spokesman for Electricity North West Limited, said: "A fault in an underground cable caused 45 properties to lose power at 12.11pm earlier yesterday.
"We have restored supplies to 30 properties by rerouting the network but there are currently 15 still off.
"We have engineers on site who have found the section of the cable underground that needs repairing.
"However, they will have to dig up the road to fix it and restore the remaining customers.
"The fault is in Tame Street, Uppermill so we don't expect to need a big diversion but there will be emergency work tonight to fix the fault."
The remaining customers had their power restored overnight.
