A BODY has been found in the search for a missing man from Shaw.
Albert Weltz was last seen at his home on Great Meadow at around 10pm on Tuesday.
Detective Constable Kelly Bragg, of GMP's Oldham borough, said the 62-year-old's disappearance was very out of character and put out an appeal for information to try and trace him.
GMP have now confirmed that the body of a man was found in a hotel room in Leeds on Thursday morning.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
A spokesman for the force said: "At around 11.45am on Thursday, July 14, police received a report that the body of a man had been found in a hotel room in Leeds.
"Officers attended and found the body of a 62-year-old man.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
