Crash woman escapes injury

HUDDERSFIELD ROAD crash
AN elderly woman was taken to hospital after her car crashed into a stationary vehicle.
Police were called to Huddersfield Road, Austerlands, at around 3.05pm yesterday when a 88-year-old who was driving her Peugeot 107 hit the stationary car.
The woman was taken to hospital for a check-up but did not have any serious injuries and fire services attended the scene due to a petrol leak.
There were no other injuries and police recovered the car at around 4.15pm.
