Halifax bank raid man is arrested

A 62-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested following the attempted robbery of the Halifax bank in Oldham town centre.
A man passed a note to the cashier inside the Curzon Street branch at 11.15am on Friday July 22 demanding money and threatened the staff member.
Police arrived at the scene and arrested a 62 year old at 11.30am in connection with the incident.
He was searched and no weapons were recovered.
A spokeswoman for Halifax said they could not comment on the incident as it was considered a police matter.
