AN OLDHAM Roughyeds player got the chop when he raised money for a memorial garden.
Michael Ward, prop for ORLFC, had his head shaved as part of the Higginshaw Community Project Fun Day last Saturday at Higginshaw Sports Social Club.
The day was held to raise funds for a memorial garden for the late Jimmy Marshall, a Higginshaw ARLFC youth coach and committee member, who died last year aged 49.
The event saw coaches in stocks, Hungry Hippos, giant KerPlunk, tombola and a barbeque as well as music and raffle prizes.
