Boy, 10, hit in car crash

A 10-YEAR-OLD boy is in a serious but stable condition after being involved in a collision in Rochdale on Monday evening.
Shortly before 7.15pm a red Toyota Yaris was travelling along High Street towards the junction with Red Cross Street when it was involved in a collision with a blue Peugeot 308, which was travelling along Red Cross Street heading towards St Marys Gate.
The Yaris then mounted the pavement and collided with a boy.
The boy suffered multiple injuries and was taken to hospital for surgery, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The drivers of the two cars were not injured.
