RAISING cash . . . Iris Last
THIRTEEN proved a lucky number for garage sale organisers Roy and Iris Last.
The Chadderton couple made around £1,800 at their 13th annual garage sale in aid of Cancer Research UK - taking the total they have raised for the cause to more than £23,000
Iris (79) is treasurer of the charity's Chadderton and Oldham committee which this year aims to raise £25,000 for research into treatments for children with brain tumours.
The garage sale was held at St Matthew's Primary School, Chadderton, and around 200 people attended.
