YOUNG dancers from Derker were firmly in the spotlight after winning 11 titles at a regional dance competition.
A total of 43 dancers from Pure Dance Academy, in Cromford Street, entered the competition run by the International Dance Teachers Association at the Wythenshawe Forum in June.
The talented performers, aged between four and 16, scooped a whole host of titles including team Razzle Dazzle winning the under nine category and team Illusion winning the U18 section.
As North West champions in their respective age groups, both teams will represent the region at the nationwide finals in Blackpool in November.
Rebecca Jarvis, principal teacher, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for the children.
"They have worked hard all year round to compete at this competition and all 43 of them have qualified in at least one category."
