Music fans flocked to the Playhouse 2 as tickets went on sale for Elvis impersonator Chris Connor who will be performing there on December 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17.
It made it a busy Bank Holiday Monday for staff as people queued from 6.30am to get tickets for the Elvis at Christmas show that didn't even go on sale until 9am. Three of the six nights sold out quickly.
Royton lad Chris was working on a building site eight years ago until being urged by mates to sing an Elvis Presley track at a karaoke night in a Grotton pub.
He's gone on to be officially named the world's best impersonator playing in front of thousands during tours of Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Canada, and of course, America.
Chris's shows are always sell-outs but there there are still some tickets available either from Interiors, 37 Market Street, Shaw, yel: 01706 840400 or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/playhouse2
