Two injured in bike-car crash drama

TWO people were taken to hospital after a crash in the early hours of this morning.
The rider and male passenger of a black motorbike both suffered leg injuries. Emergency services arrived at the incident in Park Road, Abbeyhills, at around 2am, where a red Toyota was also involved in a collision with a wall.
The injuries to the bikers are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police said: "The rider of the bike had a number of injuries which are more serious.
"The occupants of the car left the scene before we arrived.
"It is believed there were three people in the car."
Police closed off the roads eastbound at the junction with Woodstock Street. An investigation is under way.
