DARREN HAMMONDS (33), of Milnrow Road, Rochdale, was given a six-month conditional discharge for stealing gift sets from an Oldham shop.

DARREN JONES (36), of Shaw Road, Newhey, was given a five-month concurrent prison sentence for assault with a weapon in front of a child.

RAMEEZ AHMED (24), of Ronald Street, Oldham, was fined £90 for failing to meet the requirements of a community order.
