Boy rescued from railings

A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was rescued from a playground after getting his leg stuck.
The youngster who had got his leg jammed in a climbing frame in an Oldham park was freed by firefighters.
The crew was called to the Copster Hill park, off Ribble Road, on Saturday afternoon.
It took around 20 minutes to free the boy's leg from between the metal railings of the climbing frame.
Firefighters used an air bag, which forced the railings apart, to release the boy.
Paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service carried out a precautionary check at the scene. No hospital treatment was required.
