Cautious Kompany

MANCHESTER City captain Vincent Kompany is being extra cautious to ensure his comeback bid is not derailed.

The Belgian returned from his latest lay-off - the 34th of his City career - against Everton but failed to make the bench for the Champions League loss at Barcelona.

"My situation is very simple," the 30-year-old defender said. "I've been out for six months.

I wanted to play, of course, but I've just made this commitment to listen to the medical staff a little bit more."
