FLYING HIGH . . . Scott Turner makes a dive for the line to score.
Featherstone Rovers 8, Oldham RL 6
OLDHAM RL pushed Featherstone Rovers every step of the way before falling to narrow loss in a tough battle at the Bigfellas Stadium.
Scott Naylor's men were looking to build on an opening-day victory over Sheffield Eagles in the Kingstone Press Championship.
A Scott Turner try and Scott Leatherbarrow goal saw the Roughyeds edge into a 6-4 lead at half-time.
But a second try of the match from Chris Ulugia after the break clinched victory for Fev.
