OLDHAM threw away an 18-point lead as they slipped to a demoralising loss at the hands of Rochdale Hornets in the Summer Bash at Blackpool.
Four first-half tries saw Scott Naylor's side build-up a seemingly unassailable 26-8 advantage at Bloomfield Road.
But Hornets, who were without a win in their previous eight Kingstone Press Championship games, stormed back as the Roughyeds disintegrated.
Scott Turner, George Tyson, Richard Lepori (two) went over for Oldham. Scott Leatherbarrow landed all four conversions, plus two penalties.
Jake Eccleston (two), Miles Greenwood, Rob Massam, Ben Moores, Jordan Case and Lewis Galbraith went in for Hornets. Danny Yates kicked four conversions and a penalty.
