DETERMINATION . . . Oldham's George Tyson
Oldham RL 14, Featherstone Rovers 32
OLDHAM scored three tries, but they were not enough to get the better of promotion-chasing Featherstone Rovers in the Kingstone Press Championship.
Matthew Wilkinson, Sadiq Adebiyi and George Tyson went in for the Roughyeds and Dave Hewitt added a goal for Scott Naylor's side at Bower Fold.
Rovers held a 12-point lead at half-time and pulled further clear for a comfortable success.
Josh Hardcastle, Chris Ulugia, James Lockwood, Scott Turner, Luke Briscoe and Anthony Thackeray touched down for the visitors. Ian Hardman landed four goals.
The result leaves Oldham third-bottom in the table as Swinton Lions, who are immediately below them, lost at Rochdale Hornets.
Report, reaction and pictures in tomorrow's Chronicle.
