MANCHESTER Phoenix head coach Tony Hand MBE believes his side are capable of winning the Elite Ice Hockey League this season.
The 40-year-old player-coach has indicated the team he is recruiting should push for honours at the top level.
“We lacked a bit of depth last season,” he said. “So I am looking to run three lines in the season ahead. With the League allowing teams that spend up to £6,000 a week on wages an extra import spot, we are looking to utilise that to the full.
Hand indicated he has two signings due this week and one will be a first-line forward.
