Crusaders, Reds in expanded Super League
Date published: 22 July 2008
Celtic Crusaders and Salford City Reds have been handed three-year licenses for Super League starting from 2009, the RFL has announced.
The Bridgend based Crusaders graduate from National League One, as do the ambitious City Reds.
All existing clubs have kept their places in what now becomes a 14-strong top flight.
The decision, announced this morning, leaves Widnes, Halifax, Featherstone, Leigh and Toulouse as the unsuccessful applicants.
