Ched answers City striker call

MANCHESTER City are set to turn to Ched Evans to solve their striker crisis. The young Welsh striker, who spent much of last season on loan at Norwich, is likely to partner Darius Vassell in tonight’s UEFA Cup tie against EB/Streymur.
City – 2-0 up from the first leg – are without Jo, who is representing Brazil at the Olympic Games, and the injured Benjani and Valeri Bojinov.
Manager Mark Hughes has completed his second signing, Chelsea defender Tal Ben Haim for an undisclosed fee.
West Ham and City are also thought to be chasing Moroccan international Michael Chretien who plays for French club Nancy.
Chretien, who plays either right-back or right midfield, has also been linked with Spanish sides Sevilla and Real Betis.
MANCHESTER United’s Mikael Silvestre and Louis Saha are transfer targets for French club Paris St Germain.
PSG are prepared to pay £3.5million for Silvestre, but he is reluctant to leave as he is close to a testimonial, while Saha prefers to stay in England.
