Beech misses Supersport grid

Local motor bike racer Ashley Beech failed to make the starting grid in the latest round of the British Supersport Championship at Cadwell Park.

The 19-year-old from Moorside, a member of Team Colin Appleyard/Macadam Racing, was ruled out after a crash in practice.

Beech, who is in his debut season in the 600cc class having stepped up from 125cc, sustained an eye problem and slight concussion but will be fit for the next round at Croft Park in just over a fortnight’s time.
