FORMER Oldham woman Natalie Blake had the misfortune of narrowly missing out on a medal at a second successive Paralympics.
The 25-year-old ex-pupil at Park Dean finished sixth in the women’s 48kg powerlifting class.
Blake was fourth in the same event in Athens four years ago.
Meanwhile, the Great Britain wheelchair basketball team defeated Israel in their final pool game to secure their place in the quarter- finals.
The British team includes Oldham Owls’ Peter Finbow and a number of other ex-Owls players
