City hit by new Petrov blow

FLYING winger Martin Petrov has dealt Manchester City a new setback.
Fit again from a troublesome knee injury, the Bulgarian is now suffering from a hamstring strain.
Petrov misses tonight’s UEFA Cup tie in Cyprus against Omonia Nicosia when City could have midfield man Michael Johnson back in their side after a groin problem.
Former City player Tyrone Mears has been fined six weeks wages by Derby County — a sum of about £75,000 — following his controversial move to Marseille.
Derby claim Mears, who is from Chadderton, went to Marseille for a two-day trial without their permission. He eventually joined the French outfit on a year-long loan.
Jewell had sought to sack Mears for gross misconduct during lengthy talks with union officials from the PFA in Manchester.
Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson says it will be a straight choice between Wes Brown and Jonny Evans as to who replaces the suspended Nemanja Vidic for Manchester United’s Premier League match at Chelsea on Sunday.
