SIR Alex Ferguson is likely to be without three of Manchester United’s midweek Champions League winners for tomorrow’s Premier League game at Blackburn Rovers, writes TONY BUGBY.
Paul Scholes is definitely out while Rafael de Silva and Wayne Rooney are serious injury doubts following the 3–0 victory at Aalborg.
The Reds’ manager has problems in midfield where, along with the absence of Scholes, Owen Hargreaves and Michael Carrick are also out.
Gary Neville is likely to win an immediate recall at right-back if Silva is ruled out while Carlos Tevez would deputise should Rooney fail a fitness test on his ankle knock.
CITY expect to have Richard Dunne back for Sunday’s home league game against Liverpool.
The central defender and captain was not risked in last night’s UEFA Cup tie against AC Omonia because of a slight hamstring strain.
Winger Martin Petrov made a welcome return after a knee injury last night, having missed six matches.
