OLDHAM darts players helped Lancashire record a resounding 26-10 victory against Hampshire at Bolton.
The men’s ‘A’ team triumphed 9-3 with local players Peter Connolly (3-1) and John Downs (3-2) among the victors.
Neil Hunter came from 2-0 down to snatch a 3-2 victory for the men’s ‘B’ team which also emerged with a 9-3 win.
Shereen Scholes clocked up an impressive 3–0 win for the women’s ‘A’ team in their 4-2 victory.
And the success for Lancashire compensated for their shock defeat by Cheshire in their opening match of the season.
Oldham men are back in action at St Helens Town on Sunday in the premier division of the Lancashire GMC Super League.
It will be an eagerly-awaited clash of two arch rivals who are expected to be the main challengers for this season’s title.
And Oldham will be looking to avenge their 6-4 defeat the last time the two teams met.
