THIERRY HENRY has emerged as a target for Manchester City during the January transfer window.
The 31-year-old former Arsenal striker is set to leave Barcelona after failing to make an impact in Spain.
City are looking for an experienced striker to lighten the load on the shoulders of 20-year-old Brazilian Jo.
Henry is reported to be keen on a return to England and City manager Mark Hughes has been asked to be kept informed about developments.
City play Liverpool for the second time in little over 48 hours when the two teams meet at Eastlands tonight (7.0) in a reserve-team fixture.
CARLOS TEVEZ is reported to be frustrated by Manchester United’s failure to turn his loan deal into a permanent transfer.
The Reds have secured Tevez on a two-year temporary move and, with the credit crunch affecting football, they are in no rush complete a deal before next summer.
American brewers Budweiser have renewed their sponsorship deal with United until 2010.
