Emanuel the first

DAVID EMANUEL was the first of 10 Royton Road Runners to cross the line in the Bridlington Half Marathon.
Despite battling against a strong wind, he recorded a creditable one hour 29 minutes and 21 seconds.
The next two to complete the race were Rob Kellett (1:33:30) and Bruce Whittam (1:34:19). All three athletes bettered their times of 12 months ago.
Sheila Waite was happy with her time of 1:39-44, Dave Smith and Ian Casey finished together in 1:46:38), and they were followed by Lewis Shaw (1:47:50), Jeff Cordwell (1:52:25), Helen Knight (1:55:18) and Mike Bowler (2:01:57)
The final race in this year’s club championship, is the Holmfirth 15-mile event on Sunday.
