MANCHESTER Phoenix were made to work hard for a 6-4 win over Hull Stingrays in Altrincham.
Late goals from Nathan Ward and David Beauregard finally sealed a nervy victory and two vital Elite Ice Hockey League points.
On Saturday, Phoenix went down to a first defeat in six when they lost 3-2 at defending champions Coventry.
