Harry earns his spurs at crisis club

BIZARRE as it may seem, bottom-of-the-table Tottenham are one of the Premier League’s in-form teams.
And they are at Eastlands on Sunday when they tackle a Manchester City side whose recent results have been bitterly disappointing.
The past fortnight has seen a dramatic upturn in the fortunes of Tottenham, just as City’s have nosedived.
Harry Redknapp’s appointment as Spurs boss in succession to Spaniard Juande Ramos has arrested a potentially-disastrous slide.
Under Ramos, Spurs collected only two points from their first eight league matches, a sequence which left them rooted to the foot of the table, five points from a position of safety.
But since Harry “Houdini” took charge they have won twice and collected seven points from a possible nine.
Redknapp opened with a 2-0 home win against Bolton when coach Clive Allen selected the team.
That was followed three days later by the dramatic draw in the North London derby at Arsenal where Spurs were 4-2 down with two minutes remaining.
Lifted by that great escape, Spurs inflicted a first Premier League defeat of the campaign on Liverpool, who were beaten 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
The same group of players failed to deliver for Ramos, underlining Redknapp’s renowned motivational skills as he has transformed a group of players from losers to winners almost overnight.
City are in need of some similar magic at the moment after collecting only four points from their last six league matches.
They currently lie mid-table, but desperately need to kickstart their campaign which has shown no improvement on last season.
City may have smashed the British transfer record by splashing out £32.5million on Brazilian superstar Robinho, but they are finding that it takes more than one player to make a team.
