United out to 100-30 for title

WHO would have thought it? The top four in the Premier League were all in action on Saturday, yet not one of them managed to score a goal.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal all fired blanks and although the Red Devils will have been most pleased with their weekend’s work by drawing at Aston Villa, they are available at 100-30 to win the title.

Chelsea have been cut to 8-11 with Liverpool 7-2 and Arsenal – struggling to shake off the effects of Gallasgate – out to 50-1.

Chelsea and Liverpool are in Champions League action against French opposition tonight, the former travelling to Bordeaux and the Merseysiders hosting Marseille.

Not surprisingly, Liverpool are 4-9 to win at home, but Chelsea can be backed at 4-5 to triumph in Bordeaux.

ATHLETIC have won their last three League One matches to move into fourth place.

More realistically, perhaps, the same firm and Corals go 7-2 about Latics clinching promotion.

DESPITE wowing the judges into giving her four 10s on Saturday, Rachel Stevens can still be backed at 4-1 to win Strictly Come Dancing.

The rather irritating Austin Healey (15-8) is being challenged for favouritism by serial grinner Tom Chambers (2-1), while Christine Bleakley (guaranteed the Northern Ireland vote and support of One Show viewers) could just be the value at 10-1.

Lisa Snowdon, who has survived dance-offs in the last two shows, is the 20-1 outsider, which is rather a shame.

EOGHAN Quigg’s price for winning the X Factor continues to shrink, which is rather appropriate given his stature.

The teenage singer is 9-4 to triumph, just behind Diana Vickers (13-8).

BOOKIES reckon it’s all over bar the shouting with regards to the identity of this year’s I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here winner.

Eastenders actor Joe Swash has been cut to 5-6 to be the last person standing Down Under, way ahead of Star Trek veteran George Takei (13-2).
