DIMITAR BERBATOV says he expects to be back for Manchester United’s derby against City at Eastlands on Sunday.

The Bulgarian striker has resumed training after missing the last two games with a hamstring strain sustained on international duty.

“I have been working on my own but today I will train with the squad again for the first time. I am very hopeful that I will be fit for Sunday,” he said.

Edwin van der Sar, rested for Tuesday’s Champions League game against Villarreal in Spain, is expected to be back in goal.

Nemanja Vidic and Ryan Giggs, who were substitutes against Villarreal are also set to return to the starting line-up.

City, meanwhile, should have Robinho and Pablo Zabaleta back after both were rested from last night’s UEFA Cup win at Schalke.

Inter Milan are the latest club to be linked with a move for United’s Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez.

The Reds have Tevez on a two-year loan deal which expires next summer, but the player and his representatives have been itching to make the deal permanent before then.

As United seem reluctant to splash out a £30million fee before they have to, speculation has increased that the player’s future may be elsewhere.
