SOLID GOLD: Sascha honoured
A SWIMMER from Limeside who scooped two gold medals in this year’s Beijing Paralympics, has been awarded an OBE.
Sascha Kindred (30), who once lived in Lower Lime Road, was listed in the New Year Honours List.
Now living in Herefordshire, the former Kaskenmoor School pupil was awarded an OBE for services to disabled sport.
Sascha won gold in both the 100m breaststroke and 200m individual medley during the summer’s Paralympics.
