Scholes all-out to win
Date published: 27 January 2009
Paul Scholes insists he will never be prepared just to go through the motions at Manchester United.
As a veteran of eight previous title–winning campaigns, Scholes could forgiven for regarding a mid–winter trip to West Brom tonight with the same lack of enthusiasm he usually reserves for long pre–season trips to the Far East.
But the 34–year–old is determined his last couple of years at Old Trafford will not be spent winding down towards retirement.
"My desire to win more trophies is still strong," he said. “If you are just happy to go along and not earn medals there is no point in being here.”
