Manchester Phoenix were downed 2-1 in Belfast last night in the Elite League. Andrew Martin grabbed a double to eclipse David Beauregard's 48th of the season to hand the Giants the initiative ahead of the sides' meeting in the Challenge Cup Final.
Phoenix travel to Whitley Bay tonight to face Newcastle in the first leg of the Knockout Cup (7pm).
