Second final for Phoenix

Manchester Phoenix cruised into their second final of the season with an aggregate 9-5 win over Newcastle Vipers in the Knockout Cup.

They beat the Vipers 5-4 in an entertaining second-leg clash at Altrincham to ensure a meeting with either Belfast - their Challenge Cup opponents - or Cardiff.

Goals from Nathan Ward, Alex Dunn, David Beaugregard and Kyle Bruce saw Phoenix through.

They are back to Elite League action tomorrow with a home game against Coventry (6.30pm).
