Manchester Phoenix were brought down to earth on Saturday as they lost 6-2 at home by Coventry Blaze.
The reigning Elite League champions destroyed any 'feel good factor' from Phoenix' Knockout Cup semi-final progression with a display that was ultimately far too clinical.
Brett Clouthier and Kenton Smith netted for Manchester, who are at home to Basingstoke tomorrow (7.15pm).
