CHRONICLE racing correspondent Keith McHugh was in flying form on the opening day of the Cheltenham Festival, selecting three of the six winners in Wichita Lineman (5-1), Garde Champetre (7-2) and Quevega (2-1).
He also rewarded each-way backers when Medermit (12-1) and Celestial Halo (17-2) were second in their respective races, while Champion Hurdler Punjabi was one of his two selections in his Up The Ante column earlier this season.
