Manchester Phoenix warmed up for tomorrow’s Challenge Cup Final second leg with a 7-1 in over Basingstoke Bison.
Bruce Mulherin bagged a treble over the Elite League’s bottom side, while an Adam Walker brace and goals from Luke Fulghum and Lucas Burnett secured a simple win.
But yesterday, Newcastle Vipers cruised to a 5-3 win in Altrincham.
Nathan Ward, Bruce Mulherin and Adam Walker netted.
Phoenix travel to Belfast tomorrow for the second leg of the cup final with a one-goal advantage from the first leg.
